Police officer charged with drink driving - Wentworthville

A police officer has been charged with middle range PCA after allegedly being detected driving his car under the influence of alcohol in Wentworthville on Wednesday 24 February.
About 8pm police were patrolling Boronia Street, South Wentworthville, where they subjected the driver of a car to a roadside breath test, allegedly returning a positive reading.
The off-duty officer was taken to Merrylands Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis that returned a positive reading of 0.134.
The officer’s driver’s licence was suspended and was issued a court attendance notice for the offence of middle range PCA.
The officer is due to appear at Fairfield Local Court on 14 April.
