Second teenager charged over bus driver assault - Willoughby

Police have charged a second teenager in relation to the assault of a bus driver on Sydney’s north shore earlier this month.
The 18-year-old presented himself to Chatswood Police Station on Tuesday 24 February.
He was spoken to by detectives and charged with two counts of malicious damage, common assault, use offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence, custody of an offensive implement in a public place and possess prohibited drug.
He has been refused bail and is due to re-appear at Hornsby Local Court on Wednesday 11 March
The charges relate to an incident on Monday 16 February, where a bus driver was allegedly threatened with a screwdriver and had blood splashed on her while stopped on Willoughby Road at Willoughby.
Police have already laid charges against a 15-year-old girl from Naremburn for concealing a serious offence.
She will appear at Hornsby Local Court on April 9.
