Arrest made following search warrant - Austral

A man has been charged by police following the execution of a search warrant in Austral yesterday.
About 9am detectives from the Green Valley Local Area Command entered the premises on Tenth Avenue, which was occupied by a 43-year-old man.
Police searched the residence and allegedly located a number of items including prohibited drugs, a pistol with ammunition, knives, handcuffs, scanners, and a sum of cash.
The occupant was arrested and taken to Green Valley police station where he was charged with possess unregistered firearm, possess ammunition, possess prohibited weapon and possess prohibited drug.
He was given bail and will appear in Liverpool Local Court on 9 March.
