During the search officers allegedly located a large amount of heroin with a street value of up to $30,000, as well as cash. As a result, the 34-year-old driver from Breakfast Point and the 45-year-old passenger from Waterloo were arrested and taken to Redfern Police Station for questioning.

The 45-year-old passenger was charged with supply prohibited drug. He was bail refused to appear at Central Local Court on Tuesday 7 April 2009.

Both men are believed to have a connection with a support group for sufferers of drug addiction.

During the search, police allegedly located a loaded handgun and ammunition, heroin with an estimated street value of $30,000, anabolic steroids, as well as numerous black balaclavas and gloves.
