Police appeal for information following armed robbery – Warners Bay

Police attached to Lake Macquarie Local Area Command are appealing to the public for assistance following an armed robbery at a Warners Bay service station last night.
A man allegedly entered the King Street service station about 10:15pm and approached the counter whilst pointing a knife at the store attendant.
It will be alleged the man made demands for the safe to be opened before fleeing the store with a sum of cash.
The man has been described to police as being between 165-170cm tall and of solid build. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black hooded jacket, a white cap, sunglasses and knee-length army camouflaged shorts.
